A transparent cabinet for outdoor event scenery

EagerLED’s EA1000TOR1 combines an open LED structure with a rental cabinet format. The official description identifies outdoor event backdrops, curved screens and square column arrangements as uses. It gives the standard cabinet dimensions as 1000 × 500 mm, with an 80 mm depth and a weight of 7.5 kg. Front and rear maintenance and a curve-lock design are also documented. EA1000TOR1 cabinet overview

The useful question for a scenic brief is what the audience should see through the screen. You may want the display to sit in front of a stage feature, leave views across an event space, or wrap a column while retaining an open appearance. Describe that intended view alongside the video content. A transparent screen should be reviewed as part of the whole scene, including what sits behind it and where the audience will stand.

This model uses a framed rental cabinet. If your brief instead calls for a display attached to architectural glazing, compare the formats in the transparent LED screen collection before preparing the installation scope. The product category includes different approaches to transparency, and their mounting arrangements deserve separate review.

Transparency belongs to the selected pitch

The EA1000TOR1 headline highlights 60% transparency, which the body associates with the P3.91-7.82 configuration. The same source lists 70% for P10.4 and 80% for P15.6. Those values should stay with their pitch references. A family-level headline does not describe every variant. EA1000TOR1 transparency by pitch

The combined source table also contains an EA500TOR1 entry. The table below keeps that smaller cabinet visible as a companion format, while distinguishing it from EA1000TOR1.

Published model and pitch Cabinet size Weight Transparency Brightness
EA1000TOR1 P3.91-7.82 1000 × 500 mm 7.5 kg 60% 4,500 cd/m²
EA1000TOR1 P10.4 1000 × 500 mm 7.5 kg 70% 4,500 cd/m²
EA1000TOR1 P15.6 1000 × 500 mm 7.5 kg 80% 4,500 cd/m²
EA500TOR1 P3.91-7.82, companion cabinet 500 × 500 mm 5.7 kg 60% 4,500 cd/m²

These are the entries in the EA1000TOR1 and EA500TOR1 parameter table. The page spells the pitch label P3.91-7.82; retain that complete label when requesting the matching configuration. Do not shorten it to a different pitch description in the media brief or equipment schedule.

For selection, ask to see representative content on the proposed pitch. Include detailed graphics if they matter to the event, together with the broader images that will occupy most of the show. Review the view through the display as well as the displayed image. The decision may depend on how both parts of the scene work together, so record the accepted sample and viewing position with the chosen specification.

Curved backdrops and square columns are different arrangements

EA1000TOR1 has a high-precision curve lock with rotational angle adjustment. The official page also documents compatibility with optional EA500TOR1 500 × 500 mm angled cabinets for corner sections. It describes combining these formats into square or column-shaped screens. EA1000TOR1 curves and corners

A curved backdrop enquiry should show its plan shape, viewing direction and ends. A column enquiry should show the faces and corners, including which areas display content and how the crew reaches the inside. These drawings let the supplier identify the required cabinets and connection hardware without guessing the shape from a verbal description.

The combined specification table lists the EA500TOR1 companion at P3.91-7.82. It does not establish an angled companion entry for every other EA1000TOR1 pitch. If a column brief uses another pitch, ask EagerLED to confirm the compatible corner arrangement and supply its specification. Keep an unconfirmed combination out of the final equipment list. EA500TOR1 companion specification

Read the EA500TOR1 product guide when corner cabinets are part of the design. Use that page to prepare questions about the companion format, then have the complete assembled arrangement reviewed as a project.

Select the installation method with the venue plan

EagerLED describes stacking, hanging and fixed installation for EA1000TOR1. It also identifies front and rear maintenance access. Those are documented options, while the exact supporting equipment and service space need to be defined for the venue. EA1000TOR1 installation methods

Mark the support positions, access route and surrounding scenery on the drawing sent to the supplier. Ask for the approved cabinet arrangement and the installation hardware appropriate to that method. Include dismantling in the discussion. A rental wall has to leave the venue as well as arrive there, and the removal route may be constrained by the rest of the event build.

The open cabinet design is described as helping airflow and reducing wind resistance. The source does not give a project wind-load rating or a permitted unsupported screen size. Obtain the relevant structural design for the actual screen and site. The transparency percentage cannot supply those missing installation limits. EA1000TOR1 open cabinet design

Keep weather protection and power planning specific

The source lists IP65 protection for the configurations in the combined table. It also gives maximum consumption of 800 W/m² and average consumption of 270 W/m². These are published area-based values for the listed entries. Ask the project electrician and supplier to establish the complete power distribution for the approved display and installation. Describe the venue exposure and cable routing when reviewing the outdoor arrangement. The cabinet rating is part of that discussion; the complete installation includes the supporting system, connections and the procedures used at the event. Request operating and maintenance instructions for the delivered configuration and keep them with the job documentation.

The listed refresh frequency is at least 3,840 Hz and the viewing angle is 140°. If cameras will record the screen, include them in the acceptance demonstration. Evaluate the intended content with the scene behind the display, then retain the agreed control settings. EA1000TOR1 refresh and viewing specifications

Decisions that change the project scope

Design decision Information to prepare Confirmation to obtain
Preserve a view through the screen Background scene and audience positions Demonstration of the chosen pitch and transparency
Form a curved backdrop Plan shape, ends and viewing direction Supported curve geometry and lock arrangement
Wrap a square column Face layout and access opening Compatible angled cabinets for the selected pitch
Hang or stack the wall Venue support locations and screen outline Installation hardware and approved support design
Service the display during use Available space on both sides Tools, replacement parts and maintenance procedure
Supply power outdoors Display arrangement and connection route Distribution design and operating instructions

Send the brief through the project quote form with the selected pitch and any companion cabinet requirements. The rental LED display collection is useful when comparing a transparent backdrop with other event display formats before committing to the scenic design.

Frequently asked questions

Does every EA1000TOR1 cabinet have 60% transparency?

No. EagerLED associates 60% with P3.91-7.82, 70% with P10.4 and 80% with P15.6. Keep the transparency figure attached to the selected configuration. EA1000TOR1 transparency specifications

Which cabinet forms the corner in a square column?

The source names optional EA500TOR1 angled cabinets as companions to standard EA1000TOR1 cabinets. The combined table identifies the smaller format at P3.91-7.82; other combinations require their own confirmation. EA1000TOR1 column arrangement

Can EA1000TOR1 be maintained from the front?

The official description supports front and rear maintenance. Have the supplier demonstrate the planned service tasks and identify the space and tools required in the assembled layout. EA1000TOR1 maintenance access

Is the transparent structure enough to establish an outdoor support design?

The source describes airflow and wind-resistance benefits but does not publish a project structural rating. Have the screen and supporting system designed for the venue and the complete cabinet arrangement. EA1000TOR1 cabinet structure description
