How to choose your configuration
Start with the viewing task
Describe the audience position, typical content and daylight conditions. A screen intended to show a short roadside message has a different content brief from a pedestrian-facing menu or a detailed promotional video. Choose pitch and image dimensions together, and assess sample artwork at the intended viewing distance.
Resolve access before buying cabinets
Show access routes, lifting arrangements and component removal space on the installation drawing. Front service can help where the rear is enclosed, but it still requires a safe place to work. Ask which components can be changed from each side and whether surrounding cladding obstructs the operation.
Quote the installed system
List the screen, control hardware, power distribution, cables, supports, commissioning and spare parts separately. Outdoor projects also need an agreed approach to environmental exposure and site loads. Keep civil or structural work clearly assigned so a cabinet-only quotation is not mistaken for the cost or scope of the finished installation.
Frequently asked questions
Can an advertising cabinet be installed as a floor?
Use a product documented for floor installation. A vertical billboard cabinet does not establish a suitable walking surface or load path. EA-OFloor is a separate floor system, with its own surface and support questions.
Does a front-service cabinet sit directly against a wall?
Check the installation drawing. Front access describes a maintenance method; the system still needs suitable supports, cable routes, ventilation and access to every replaceable component.
How should I compare two outdoor screen quotations?
Compare the same finished dimensions, pitch, cabinet variant, service arrangement and supplied equipment. Include installation responsibilities and the spare-parts package. A family name or screen area alone is not enough for an equivalent comparison.
