Design the scenic arrangement before selecting the cabinet mix
EagerLED’s EA1000H9 is a 500 × 1000 mm rental LED wall cabinet for indoor and outdoor configurations. Its published features include a die-cast aluminium frame, magnetic modules, a detachable rear power box and optional arc locks. EagerLED also describes mixed layouts with the smaller EA500H9, including stepped edges and staggered arrangements. EA1000H9 cabinet and layout overview
That range of arrangements gives a set designer several decisions to make before a buyer can produce a useful equipment list. A flat presentation wall, a curved stage backdrop and a ring around an exhibition feature require different drawings. Identify the intended shapes early, then ask the supplier to define the cabinet mix and hardware for each. A single family name cannot describe all of those builds.
The official application list includes stage backdrops, touring shows, exhibitions and conferences. Treat these as starting points for a project brief. Your content, audience positions and access routes will determine which arrangement earns a place on the final drawing. EA1000H9 applications
Compare standard outdoor and black-LED variants accurately
The detailed source tables distinguish standard outdoor entries from outdoor entries carrying a B suffix. The B entries identify black LED configurations and have different published brightness figures. Indoor variants appear in a separate table. Keep the suffix in the equipment schedule, including the scan suffix on the outdoor P3.91 entries.
| Exact model | Source variant | Brightness | Published cabinet weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| EA1000H9-OP2.6 | Standard outdoor P2.6 | 4,500 cd/m² | 13 kg |
| EA1000H9-OP2.97 | Standard outdoor P2.97 | 4,500 cd/m² | 13 kg |
| EA1000H9-OP3.91-16S | Standard outdoor P3.91 | 4,800 cd/m² | 13 kg |
| EA1000H9-OP3.91-8S | Standard outdoor P3.91 | 6,000 cd/m² | 13 kg |
| EA1000H9-OP2.6-B | Black-LED outdoor P2.6 | 3,000 cd/m² | 13 kg |
| EA1000H9-OP2.97-B | Black-LED outdoor P2.97 | 3,000 cd/m² | 13 kg |
| EA1000H9-OP3.91-16S-B | Black-LED outdoor P3.91 | 3,000 cd/m² | 13 kg |
| EA1000H9-OP3.91-8S-B | Black-LED outdoor P3.91 | 4,000 cd/m² | 13 kg |
| EA1000H9-iP1.56 | Indoor P1.56 GOB | 700 cd/m² | 12 kg |
| EA1000H9-iP1.95 | Indoor P1.95 GOB | 750 cd/m² | 12 kg |
| EA1000H9-iP2.6 | Indoor P2.6 GOB | 750 cd/m² | 12 kg |
| EA1000H9-iP2.97 | Indoor P2.97 | 750 cd/m² | 12 kg |
The EA1000H9 model tables supply these figures. The source overview describes a broader pitch and brightness range than the detailed tables establish. The table above therefore uses only explicitly identified model entries. If you need a configuration outside this selection, request its own specification sheet instead of borrowing the figures from a neighbouring variant.
All listed outdoor entries specify IP65 at the front and IP54 at the rear; the indoor entries specify IP31. Their common cabinet size is 500 × 1000 mm with 250 × 250 mm modules. Maintain that distinction between the protection of each face when reviewing the placement of an outdoor screen. EA1000H9 cabinet specifications
Combine tall and square cabinets with a marked drawing
EagerLED describes horizontal and vertical combinations with the 500 × 500 mm EA500H9 on a 250 mm module grid. The source also illustrates the use of the H9 family for stepped, checkerboard and irregular arrangements. EA1000H9 mixed cabinet assembly
Send a drawing that identifies the tall and square cabinets individually. Include any gaps that form part of the scenic design and explain how the content should cross the boundaries. Ask the supplier to return the cabinet map and control layout together. The person preparing media needs to know where the visible display areas will be, while the installation team needs to know how the physical sections connect and receive support.
Check where the wall meets stage scenery, masking or an exhibition structure. A cabinet connection shown in a product illustration does not settle the supporting structure for the whole set. Request the approved installation arrangement for the proposed shape, along with the limits and hardware that apply to it. Keep revisions visible whenever the scenic layout changes.
The EA500H9 selection guide explains the smaller companion format. For a wider comparison of event cabinets, browse the rental LED display collection. Existing EA500H8 cabinets belong to a separate documented family; their appearance alone should not be used to infer H9 compatibility.
Curves and rings need their own hardware schedule
Optional high-precision arc locks support curved assembly. The official page describes curved and flat sections in a screen, as well as circular and cylindrical arrangements using arc-lock hardware. It does not publish a universal radius or angle range for every build. EA1000H9 curved and ring installations
For a ring, provide a plan and elevation showing the intended enclosure, audience circulation and service access. State whether the display surrounds an object, sits above a stand or forms part of a stage set. Ask the supplier to define the achievable cabinet arrangement and list the required locks and support components. Avoid approving a shape solely from a perspective rendering, where the clearances and access points may be hidden.
For repeat rental work, retain the approved layout as part of the job file. It should identify the cabinet positions and the hardware used at each change of direction. If another event uses a different shape, have the equipment schedule reviewed for that arrangement rather than relying on the previous build notes.
Plan front module service and rear electronics access
The source distinguishes magnet-mounted modules that lift from the viewing side from a power box that opens at the rear. It places the power supply and HUB board in a detachable rear box. The frame includes handles, locating slots and corner protection. EA1000H9 service layout
This distinction matters when scenery encloses the screen. Mark the rear box on the installation drawing and show what sits behind it. Ask for a practical demonstration of removal and replacement with the planned working clearance. Front module access does not, by itself, explain how technicians reach every rear component.
For an equipment handover, request a list of compatible spare modules and rear assemblies for the ordered variant. Include the maintenance tools and the procedure for retaining configuration information after replacement. The rental crew should be able to identify the correct spare without having to interpret a generic family brochure during an event.
The product table lists at least 3,840 Hz refresh frequency, at least 60 Hz frame frequency and 14-bit grayscale. Use those as configuration records. For a camera-facing backdrop, ask for a demonstration with the intended cameras and content, and agree on the settings to be retained. The published refresh figure alone does not verify the result of a particular recording setup. EA1000H9 image parameters
Turn the design into a reviewable enquiry
