LED screen price per m² by pixel pitch

The table groups EagerLED’s standard cabinet products by application and pixel pitch. Indoor LED wall cost: a meeting-room example

For a meeting room, the EA640F2 640 × 480 mm cabinet is a practical reference. P2.5 SMD2020 costs US$684 per m² (US$64 per sq ft), while P4 is US$511 per m². At the fine end, P1.25 GOB is US$1,515 per m² and the flip-chip COB version of the same pitch is US$1,584 per m².

Take a P2.5 wall of 6 cabinets across and 5 high: 30 cabinets and a visible area of 3.84 × 2.40 m (12.6 × 7.9 ft), roughly 178 inches diagonally. The active area is 9.216 m² (99.2 sq ft). Each 320 × 160 mm module carries 128 × 64 pixels and each cabinet holds 2 × 3 modules, so the wall resolution is 1536 × 960 pixels, a 16:10 canvas that suits presentation laptops.

Outdoor LED billboard cost: an advertising wall example

Outdoor walls cost less per square metre than fine-pitch indoor walls because their pixel pitch is coarser, even though the cabinets are sealed and much brighter. For the 960 × 960 mm EA960F4, P10 SMD2727 at 6500 cd/m² is US$662 per m², P6.67 at 6000 cd/m² is US$715 per m², and P4.44 at 6000 cd/m² is US$833 per m².

An advertising wall 6 cabinets across and 3 high measures 5.76 × 2.88 m (18.9 × 9.4 ft) with 16.5888 m² (178.6 sq ft) of active display. P6.67 modules are 480 × 320 mm with 72 × 48 pixels; at 2 × 3 modules per cabinet that gives 144 × 144 pixels per cabinet and 864 × 432 pixels across the wall.

The screen amount is 16.5888 m² × US$715 = about US$11,861. A roadside or façade project then adds a structure, electrical supply, lifting equipment and permits, which depend entirely on the site. LED rental cabinet purchase price: an event stage example

Buying cabinets for an event inventory is different from hiring a finished screen. For the 500 × 500 mm EA500C6, indoor P3.91 costs US$195 per cabinet (US$780 per m²), P2.6 GOB costs US$255 per cabinet (US$1,020 per m², US$95 per sq ft) and P1.56 GOB costs US$386 per cabinet (US$1,544 per m²).

For a 5.5 × 3.0 m (18.0 × 9.8 ft) indoor stage backdrop in P2.6 GOB, you need 11 cabinets across and 6 high: 66 cabinets and 16.5 m² (177.6 sq ft). A 250 × 250 mm module has 96 × 96 pixels and each cabinet holds 2 × 2 modules, so the wall is 2112 × 1152 pixels. The cabinet total is 66 × US$255 = US$16,830.

Why two LED screens of the same size cost different amounts

Keep the 3.84 × 2.40 m meeting-room opening and switch from P2.5 to P1.25 GOB: the screen amount rises from about US$6,304 to US$13,962, and the canvas grows to 3072 × 1920 pixels. Both the pitch and the surface construction changed, so the difference is not a pure pitch surcharge.

The same nominal pitch can also carry different prices. EA640F2 P1.25 GOB is US$1,515 per m² and the P1.25 flip-chip COB entry is US$1,584 per m². Outdoors, an EA500C6 P3.91 rental cabinet at 4800 cd/m² with 1/16 scan is US$203 per cabinet, while the 6000 cd/m², 1/8-scan version is US$222. A quote that says only “outdoor P3.91” leaves that choice open.

Ask every supplier for the LED package, driver IC, power supply, cabinet material, service direction and protection rating so you compare like with like.

LED display project budget beyond the screen

Use the screen amount as the first budget line, then get prices for the rest of the scope. Do not add an assumed percentage for items you have not had quoted.

Ask who supplies each line. An integrator and a manufacturer may both allow for a processor while neither includes local power distribution. Get a comparable LED screen quotation

Give every supplier the same visible dimensions, nearest viewing position, environment, content, operating hours, input sources and delivery city. Compare per-square-metre prices on active display area: cabinet footprint, frame and architectural opening are different measurements.

Check the pricing unit before multiplying. A price per cabinet needs a cabinet count and a price per m² needs the exact active area. Work out resolution from the module pixel matrix, since pitch labels are often rounded.
